 Range and Habitat

The Bourlon's genet is found in the north-west coast of Africa, in the countries of Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea and the Ivory Coast. Their populations are sparse and fragmented throughout their range.


Physical Appearance

The Bourlon's genet is similar in appearance to other genet species. Their spots are less defined than other similar species, and the ground coloration is a brownish-creamy gray.


Taxonomy

The Bourlon's genet is determined to be a distinct species on the basis of differences in skull characteristics and coat patterns. Species described based on skin specimens.
